Alright then the first thing we're going to do to get our card started is to do some dry
embossing. These carousel note cards come exactly the same size as our pick a petal
brass template. So this is what we're going to be using for our embossing. I'm just going
to go ahead and turn my embossing light on. And I'm going to rub a little bit of wax paper
over my card stock. If you've ever embossed before you know that this helps your stylus
glide just a little bit smoother. And I'm just going to place this on top, line it up,
and then I'm just going to emboss each circle all along the outside. This is going to give
this a raised texture when we turn it over. And it's going to look really, really neat.
Move my hand out of your way. There's a lot of different designs on this pick a petal
template. I'm just using the outside one right now to give it some dimension and pop. We've
made it all the way around, I'm just going to take a look. I like what I'm seeing but
I also want to do this inner line so we're going to do that next. I'm just going to place
it back on, line it up and I'm going to switch to my smaller embossing stylus here. And now
I'm just going to go around and hit the inner circles with my stylus. If you're careful
you can just slide it gently following this all the way around. If you come off just slip
it back on. Nobody's perfect. We like to think we are but. Dry embossing really adds texture
to your card. It really makes it fun. You can use dry embossing for scrap booking, for
any project that you like. For card making, scrap booking, 3-D items. It can be used for
everything. So now that I'm finished let's take a look. And let me shut this light off,
it might be giving you too much background. But we have all of our circles and then our
inner layer circles done. And we're ready to start assembling our card.
