This tutorial will introduce you to printing in the Biola Library.
To begin, use any library computer or your personal computer to send your document to the Pharos print queue.
For instructions on how to print from your personal computer, see the IT website.
Computers are available on all three levels of the library, including the Instruction Lab
on the ML and two computer labs on the LL, as long as no class is in session.
From the computer, print as normal using the print dialog, selecting File → Print or by pressing Ctrl or Cmd → P.
Choose the Biola_Printing on PHAROS printer and select OK.
You will be prompted for your NetID and a title of your choice for the document.
On the next screen, you'll be prompted for your NetID password. This is the same login you use for my.Biola. Then choose "Print."
Your document will stay in the print queue for 24 hours,
so you may print multiple documents and pick them up at your convenience.
Once you send your document to the queue, print it at any Pharos release station,
which includes printers and copiers in the library and selected other locations on campus.
Swipe your Biola ID card or enter your NetID and password to log in.
Color printing is available at the color printer near the Reference desk or any library copier.
Your Student $ or Fac/Staff account will be charged --
10 cents/page for black/white or 40 cents/page for color.
To add money to your Biola ID card, use cash or a minimum of $10 credit/debit
at one of the self-service kiosks located near the Reference desk.
You may also add money at any eating location on campus, as Student $ can also be used to purchase food.
Guests and alumni may purchase a guest card for $1 at the kiosk and add money for printing and copying.
Use the Card # and Password located on the front of the card to send your document to the print queue.
Then swipe the card at a print release station to print the document.
For more information about printing in the library,
visit the Biola IT website or ask the Reference Services Assistant.
