“Man always dies before he is fully born.” ~Erich Fromm
What death is it that Erich Fromm speaks of? Is it the death of the physical body? Or is
it something much more. Has it not been said that death follows birth, but life is eternal?
What exactly does this mean?
To be fully born… it to be fully alive. This implies wakeful wholeness. It is the
maximum self-awareness that allows no other. It is the consistent experience of oneness.
Holistic experience is trans-egocentric. Egocentric experience is mired in the illusion of separation…
the illusion of another. It is egocentric illusion that must die before one is fully
born.
This week… let us die that we may be fully born. Let us relinquish the egoic illusion
of separation… the illusion of another… and open to the truthful awareness of the
oneness of all and everything. Let us be fully alive in wakeful holistic experience.
