Welcome to Team Wild's Airpower.
Here we try and bring you everything that's new in the world of air guns, as quickly as we can.
But there's one little beauty we haven't quite put through its paces yet.
You guys at home have been very vocal about this pint sized pistol.
So today I'm out with the Benjamin Marauder Woods Walker.
This .22 hunting carbine is out of Crosman's pre-charged numatic hunting range.
Small, light and easy to stow away in a bag or rucksack,
the woods walker is a perfect choice for a leisurely walk clinking critters in the woods.
Or as a second rifle when you want to take out those critters without disturbing other animals in the woods,
and ruin your chance of bagging a buck.
Today I'm going to put through its paces and test it out.
First we are going to check its accuracy.
We've set a target, we're going to fire a three shot group, and see how it performs.
This little lady was designed for the woods. So what better place to test it out.
Ok I've fired a three shot group there. It's a little high and right so going to make a little windage adjustment
and take another 3 shot group.
Ok I've just fired another 3 shot group there.
I'm quite happy with that so I think we'll go forward and check the target now.
Ok you can see the first three shot group there at the top.
And this is my 2nd three shot group.
And that's about 35 yards. I strode it out in the wood and that's about what it was.
As you can see for a short-barrelled, little carbine
it's really really accurate.
So if your after little squirrels, rabbits, any little critters in the woods really,
35 yards you are going to get him. No problem at all.
Now it's time for the second test.
We've put 3 targets out in various positions in the wood.
What we're going to do now is have a mooch through.
Spot the targets, and shoot them.
Hopefully.
Wish me luck.
Ok target 1.
Gave him a little bit of a headache I think. Just grazed him.
Pilot error I'd say.
Shooting it with such a short barrel, it's very unforgiving, so it's a learning curve for me.
Not the rifles fault. Definitely me.
2nd one. I'm improving.
Just missed there, aiming for his eye.
Just a little bit low.
We're at about 25 yards, free stood.
Quite happy with that for a quick shot.
Yeah. Getting better I think.
Better still.
Number 3. I think whatever I was shooting at there, I'd have definitely killed it.
Little bit high. But like I said, free stood again.
No rest or anything else
I'm quite happy with that again.
In fact I'm getting a love for the little gun. I don't think it will be going back. I think it will be staying in Wildy's world.
It's all well and good shooting at Mr. Harford's fat chicks,
but that's not really what we do.
I'm going to see if I can find some proper critters to have a plink at now I've had a bit more practice.

Benjamin Marauder Woods Walker - 1. Pigeon - 0.
Ok just been and picked my pigeon up.
Shot him from the tree just over there.
Be about 35... Just below 30, 35 yards.
One shot. One pigeon.
That's the first time I've shot anything live with the Benjamin Woods Walker.
This is a proper, nifty, good, little air rifle.
I'm really, really impressed with it.
I'm going to have lots more fun with this little fella.
And I think it's going to be staying with me, and not going back to Team Wild's armoury.
Very impressed.
