It's that time of year when the gift cards come out - all kinds of cards. This is a great
one that Stamperdog likes to give. It's wonderful - shaped cards are the best. Here's a great
card for someone who's done a lot for you throughout the year. And at the end of this
video, we're going to give you a link on another idea to give shaped gift cards. But this one's
all about the Starbucks card because frequently they run out of those fancy envelopes. This
is Ann Clemmer and Stamper from stamperdog.com presenting a Starbucks gift card holder. Now
we're starting off with a folded piece of Soft Suede, and then we've got some Baked
Brown Sugar and Cherry Cobbler. Sounds like you're going to cook it! And we'll give a
link to the Supplies at the end. So anyway, here, we're going to start c'mon; it's just
perfect for this kind of card. And we're going to stamp it in Soft Suede. However, I think
next time I would like to do Early Espresso. And then we're going to layer it onto a slightly
larger piece of Cherry Cobbler. Now, here I'm going to stamp onto a piece of Designer
Series Paper that is meant to go with this, and I'd do that in Early Espresso if I did
it again, too. You don't have to stamp the whole image on there. Just the part you want,
which is that little band around there. Now here we've got our Burlap Ribbon, and if you're
going to cut that little banner end on the end of it, just always remember fold it in
half and you cut in the fold - which means the fold end is going to be closer to you
than the end of it and you'll always get it right. Now you could go and bend it over the
card stock, but we're not going to do that. So let's just put that on there with SNAIL,
but I think that Multi Purpose Adhesive, our Liquid Glue, would be better because it's
going to be rather heavy on here. Now when it comes to putting the ribbon on there, that's
time for a Mini Glue Dot. We're going to try to get it on there so that it doesn't look
like it's attached down there. Now these are 3/4" pieces of Designer Series Paper, and
I can't tell you how I did the banner ends on this because it's a special punch that's
coming out in late January. And you can get it free! - so keep watching stamperdog.com
so that you can find out how YOU can get it free during January, February and March. So
see? Shhh, mum's the word! So here we're going to put that on with Glue Dots as well. And
you'll notice that one's a little shorter than the other and they all look sort of okay,
but when I put this gift card on here, it just doesn't look right. And Stampin' Up!
has too many colors that we don't need to have mismatched stuff. So hold on, hold on
for a minute . . . Oh, bingo! There it is, just different colors from the same color
pack and doesn't that look better? We stamped a Christmas greeting down at the bottom and
when you put this card on, make sure that you're careful about that bar code. And the
little number that they have there because those are the ways that your friend can spend
that gift card. Now the parts that are raised, that are layered on the ribbon, you just want
to put a little bit of Mini Glue Dot on there so that'll hold it to the ribbon without making
the card uneven. So there you go. It's a really easy gift card holder. I think on the inside
it's going to have a little blurb about how much this person means to me. And then it'll
say, "Rip the coffee card off the front and have one on me!" Isn't' that great? It beats
that little fancy envelope any day. Make sure you stop by stamperdog.com at this link here
so that you can pick up a supply list and written instructions. Now here's another video
on how to use shaped gift cards from Target. This is Ann Clemmer and Stamper, from stamperdog.com,
where we try to put a little ink, paper and fun into your day.
