Hello, I'm Sifu Mallon with the Clearwater Kung Fu Center. This is my assistant Melissa
and this is Kung Fu for health. Our warm up is going to be focusing on your ankles. The
first one that we're going to do is what's called the Ankles-Circles. So you're going
to bring your feet close together, so you feel like you have a nice stable base underneath
you. You're going to extend your right leg out in front of you, you're going to point
your toe to the floor. Now you're going to lift your toe, thinking of your big toe, you're
going to circle up around and down and continue. So this is also working, this one, the ankle
that we're working here, but this is also working a dual purpose instability. Okay,
on this foot that you're standing on, this is working your fast twitch muscles, which
are making your tendons and inside the ligaments in your ankle much stronger. Now, repeat to
the opposite direction. Okay. Then we'll place that foot down and we'll do the same thing
on the opposite side. Your leg will go straight out, point the toe and now circle in, down
and round. You'll feel if in the ankle that you're warming up here and you'll also feel
that working on your base ankle. And not reverse the opposite direction, and place your foot down. And this is how
we warm up our ankles, Kung Fu for health.
