Hello! This is John from Expert Village. This next segment is going to be in stances. There’s
two stances; your basic stance, which is what most people shoot, and the weaver stance,
which is far more accurate and easier way to shoot your handgun. Pick up the handgun,
fingers straighten on the trigger, make sure there’s no rounds in the chamber or in the
magazine or barrel. Now, shoot in the basic stance. Wrap your weak hand along the outside
on the weapon squeezing it shut. Keep your feet shoulder width apart, knees slightly
bent and put the handgun out in front of your face, line up the sights and that’s the
basic stance. Now the weaver stance is a little bit different, you saw it earlier, a modified
version of it. You’re going to put your shoulders toward the target. Your weak hand
is going to cuff the bottom of the firearm so you have proper bone support. Pull up the
weapon, line it up, and that’s weaver stance. With the support here is much more accurate
than with the basic stance.
