This tutorial will allow for equations to be shown in the discussion board with Blackboard
CE8 using the equation editor that is native to
Microsoft Word.
First type in the equation using the equation editor.
When you have successfully entered the equation, please click outside the equation area to
get render the edit box invisible.
Also make sure you have adjusted the zoom size; so that the final equation is not too
small or too large.
On your computer, press the print screen key; this will put the desktop and the equation
onto the computer clipboard.
Open up Paint brush, or equalivant program that you can copy the image of the equation
onto.
Paste the contents onto the white space provided and then using the select tool,
highlight and crop the image of the equation.
You can then save the equation.
Select GIF as the file type to save the image. This is the smallest image file type for simple
images such as the equation you are saving.
Now, within the Discussion board box, select add image, then browse to find the image,
Select the image of the equation and select open. The image will be uploaded to the Discussion
Board.
That completes the tutorial.
