For Complex News, I'm Jinx. News of Kanye's desire to run for President of the United
States in 2020 created shockwaves when he announced it at the tail end of his acceptance
speech for the Video Vanguard Award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
It's been debated, disputed, hated and viewed many, many times in America, with everyone
from presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton to our current Commander-In-Chief Barack Obama
weighing in.
But we haven't heard anything from former resident George W. Bush. TMZ managed to catch
up with Bush in Washington, D.C, to gain his thoughts on Kanye's potential presidential
run.
At a loss for words. Classic Bush. Well, there you have it. Apparently he's not taking Ye's
declaration too seriously. Perhaps his insider knowledge of the position makes him a skeptic
when it comes to those who feel they could hold down the office he once held for 8 years.
And then there's also Yeezy's past critique of George Bush during one of our nation's
most trying times: Hurricane Katrina. During a nationally broadcast telethon to raise money
and awareness to the crippling disaster, Kanye went off script and delivered the now infamous
quote.
