Hello everyone! Welcome to Unit Five. Wow! This is it.
We have two weeks to finish this unit, and we'll be starting off by talking about
the writing process,
finally getting to talking a little bit about how you manage that process
and take the sentences and the ideas to
a longer product, which in this case will be a paragraph.
But that's not all! (Laughter)
Now this time around we're also going to be -- this is the
punctuation. For those of you who have been waiting
for the punctuation, this is it. And so we're gonna
focus mainly on commas, apostrophes,
and semicolons, so if there's another piece of punctuation you're interested in,
you may want to start a subforum where you can talk about these
other pieces of punctuation -- the dash, and parentheses and
whatever else excites you.
There is always the grammar connoisseur forum, so . . . . Yes! Exactly.
Alright, as you're working on this final
writing assignment, we've got the discussion board tied into it,
so you will "sunshine" the rough draft of your
paragraph there and get some feedback from your peers
before you submit it on the 10th.
The other question that comes up with this paragraph all the time has to do with the number of sentences.
We ask for a minimum of fifteen sentences.
That is a longer paragraph, but academic paragraphs are generally longer,
so it's really not outside outside of the realm. You'll find when you get,
when you get going, you'll just keep writing those sentences. It won't be too bad.
I think we've seen that before. Yes. So alright, we'll see you next week!
Bye bye. Y'all be well. Thanks.
