I think the name 3 Wheeler Band describes the band
very well,
because we are
three members, we are apower trio, the perfect combination of rock n' roll
Bass, Drums, and guitar.
the name emulates the 3 wheeler motorcycles,
each wheel is important for the vehicle, like us, each member is important
foro the band, hence the power trio. we are influenced by
those legendary trios such as ZZ Top,
Cream,
Motorhead
so, that's the base of Rock n' Roll, those three instruments.
3 Wheeler Band begins in August of 2010
we all gathered at Davo's place
Pepo, Davo and myself
with the intent of creating our own material based in Rock n' Roll
and to spend a very cool time, no?
making BBQ, having some beers and it's been now 3 years
getting together once a week
we rehearse
BBQ, beers so, its F#$^n awesome this Rock n' Roll
The music we play its 100% Rock n' Roll
new are not following any new trend, we simply play that Rock n' Roll
we all like
that classic Rock n' Roll from 70s & 80s.
any of us can come one day with a new riff and we start jamming from there
that way, we had come out with good songs, but basically, we are focused towards riffing
and to that specific tune that makes you rock and move your head.
Well, 3 Wheeler Band
has performed here in Monterrey
in Monterrey's iconic bars such as Cafe Iguana
The Ibex
also we had play at the Nachos & Gangas Bar, Woodstock Valle,
several private parties
provate performances.
also we had participated in events to support those in need, which, for us,
it's a good opportunity to help the community with our Rock n' Roll and support a good cause
We also had the opportunity in May 2012, of perform at the legendary
Fitzgerald's Bar in Houston, Texas,
taking our Rock n' Roll across the Grand River
The first 3 Wheeler Band's material its called "Smoke N' Groove"
I tracked guitars and vocals with Abraham Madera's studio, 528 Hz.Studio
cool you know, this dude, when you get there and
huge beer, a cigar, other beer, you getting in the mood
tuning guitars,
we used two very great guitars, Gibson ones,
with great punch, three amplifiers, one Marshall, a Fender and a Line 6
we mix all, the result was f..ing great, the mix of instruments,
devices, effects
tris dude is a good coach,is a very good producer
he knows perfectly when to repeat takes,
when you have to do things over,
when the recording is good. It was great and i felt very good.
at the end we obtained a very good and defined sound,
strong and clear at the same time,
giving awesome touches to
every solo, to every chord
and well, we like it very much, it was great.
the Bass was also recorded with Abraham Madera in his studio
polishing that adequate sound for every song in the CD, giving that punch and
that Low-End every song needs.
I recorded drums tracks at Davo's
and the goal was to emulate those drums recordings made by
Legendary sound Engineer Glyn Johns
where he only used three or four microphones to obtain a more
organic sound.
and that's what Davo and I tried to do when recording at his house, which is
also the place where we rehearse, and that we wanted to capture that
organic sound we have when rehearsing we wanted to bring it
into the tape too.
the recording and mix process was also made
at 528 Hz Studio
from Septiember 2012
to February of 2013
Where Madera took the task of bringing
that strong sound of our live performances
into the CD, to capture it and at the end the result was f&$#&n good, really good.
The mastering process was in charge of Sage Audio Studios in Nashville, TN
this studio has worked with local Country, Rock and Southern Rock scene artists
from Nashville
we are very comfortable with this process, with this final product
given theta mastering takes the music to a different level, enhances the material in the mix,
amplifies it and gives more power to each detail of each song.

because of the energy they have
when performing live, they are just 3 dudes
and sound like 6
