Now I'm going to show you how to replace a tenon cork. This one of course is already
missing. If you have one that is partially off just go ahead and try to, with kind of
a blunt object, try to get it off as best you can. If it has a little bit of sticky
stuff left on there, use a little bit of lighter fluid to try to get that off. That won't harm
your finish of your instrument, and of course you can get that pretty much any where. But
I've got a nice strip of cork here, which I have precut. I will show you here how to
cut it. I usually just take a, you have a long strip like that, but a lot of times they
come in just little strips like this in emergency repair kits. But I usually just put the cork
on there and make a little score, and flip to the other side and make another score.
And if that's got right, I take my trusty ruler here and cut along there to get my strip.
