Lady Gaga resurrects Michael Jackson and Archer resurrects Christian Slater. This is EW's
Must List for Monday, March 24.
What'd you do this weekend? If you're Lady Gaga, the answer is "Released an epic music
video featuring Jesus, Michael Jackson, and the cast of the Real Housewives of Beverly
Hills." Shot in Hearst Castle, the short film "G.U.Y." is a medley of Gaga songs. She plays
a fallen angel, or maybe a demon, and Andy Cohen is Zeus, I think? It's basically Clash
of the Titans without Sam Worthington, so it's basically a much better Clash of the
Titans.
Adult Swim's Rick and Morty continues its breakout first season tonight, in an episode
that sees mad scientist Rick fight a mysterious new shop owner. Could he be the devil? Or
maybe some kind of leprechaun? If you haven't watched Rick and Morty yet, then this is the
perfect time to quit your job and also start watching Rick and Morty.
If you have ever stayed up late trying to decipher a New Yorker cartoon, then you'll
definitely enjoy "How About NEver-Is Never Good Enough For You"? A memoir by the magazine's
cartoon editor Bob Mankoff, the book is also a guided tour through the history of New Yorker
cartoons — and the history of funny drawings.
Over on FX, Archer welcomes guest-star Christian Slater. The Heathers star and alleged Jack
Nicholson clone will voice a mysterious drug smuggler named "Slater." But the question
is, will the show find a way to fit in a reference to Broken Arrow? Guys, Slater was the bomb
in Broken Arrow.
That's all for today, but check back tomorrow for Must List Details on the Brooklyn Nine-Nine
season finale, when Terry takes his shirt off.
