This is the moment a group of children dropped to the ground during an Easter egg hunt to
aid police with a manhunt.
The quick-thinking schoolchildren, aged between six and 12, were playing in a field in Surrey
on Good Friday when they noticed a police helicopter circling above them.
Officers had been dispatched to reports of a burglary nearby, and as they scoured fields
for fleeing suspects, they spotted the group lying flat on the ground in the form of a
giant arrow.
The helicopter cameraman quickly realised what the children were up to, and panned his
shot to where the tip of the arrow was pointing.
He switched to the helicopter's thermal camera, and spotting a figure crouching in some undergrowth.
Two men was soon arrested by officers on the ground.
Police said the assistance of the children proved to be invaluable.
Demonstrating initiative straight out of an Enid Blyton adventure.
