Darwin has a variety of air-conditioned retail centres, Casuarina Shopping Centre has around
165 retail shops and is the largest shopping centre in the Northern Territory.
In Darwin City, the Mall and surrounding streets offer more than 200 different shops.

The Dry lasts from May to October and is nothing short of perfect. While most Australians are
freezing through the winter, Top Enders are enjoying an average of, just three cloudy
days a month, low humidity and daily temperatures of around 30 degrees Celsius.

But let's face it, Darwin can be hot. Between November and April spectacular thunderstorms
fill the northern sky. The humidity rises markedly and the heat can become oppressive.
However for many top-enders, the wet season is their favourite part of
the year, ushering in beautiful balmy evenings, spectacular lightning displays and cooling tropical rain.
