Welcome, today's topic is: Iowa Dog Bites Upon Children. Unfortunately the most common dog
bite that we see in our office is a child who has usually gone up to a pet, to pet a
dog, and unfortunately the dog reacts for what ever reason and bites the child, often
times in the face. If the damages are severe and the offer from the insurance company is
more than twenty five thousand dollars then Iowa law requires that if the child is still
a minors, so under eighteen, a conservator-ship has to be set up for the benefit of a minor
child. Now you can try doing a conservator-ship on your own but there are many specific legal
requirements in processing a conservator-ship. And if you make a mistake that could be costly
to your loved one. So if you do have a dog bite that's unfortunately happened to your
child, I would at least recommend that you request our dog bite book which is available
at no cost, risk or obligation. And if you have a specific questions you can feel free
to contact me. My name is Corey. Call me at 641-792-3595. We do have four central Iowa offices. I would
be happy to sit down and discuss your matter with you or through a phone call. Thanks for
watching.
