Tell us about Global. Global is probably one of the better kept
secrets in the industry from the aspect of when people find out that we're a $1.6 Billion
manufacturer that makes product on 5 different continents. People are very surprised, we
are one of the best kept secrets in the industry.
Global was founded in 1966 on the premise of providing high quality office furniture
at a moderate price point and Global has done an excellent job through the years maintaining
that focus and that niche and our dealers and customers depend on us for. While at the
same time improving our quality and our design so that people are getting more, even more
for their money than they ever have.
We're still at those price points that people count on us for but your getting more for
your money with Global nowadays.
What kind of changes have you seen in the company in the last 9 years?
There have been a lot the company doesn't look the same as it did as recently as 5 years
ago I've been on board to see a lot of that change take place. The company has gone in
more from a commodity driven price point focused manufacturer to a much more design focused
quality focused manufacturer that has expanded the line to where we have entry level price
point products, we have a mid priced point product that people have always know us for
and recently we've been navigating upstream to get into a little bit more of a high end
with design with products so that we can also go to those opportunities where 5-7 years
ago we didn't really have the product to compete in that arena.
