I think, even though I'm not working in journalism actively now, that the skills I learned here
- just the practical skills in journalism education that I got here, as far as how to
tell a story, and how to produce a newscast, and shoot video, and all those, those skills
- were most important, because that is what enabled me to get my first job, and second
job, and third job and, sort of, move up quickly through the business. And I know I definitely
got hired in places because of the Missouri experience that I had and the Missouri connection.
And that started me on a career path that then turned into what I'm doing today, which
is, you know...if I hadn't started in that direction, I'm not sure I'd be where I am
today.
