In this short video we are going to detail some
information about your experience area on your LinkedIn profile.
Let's get going. So here we are we're at our linkedin profile we got here we logged
in we hovered over profile
and we clicked on edit profile. So right now I'm going to go ahead and so
and scroll down and we're going to pass up our summary we've already discussed that.
Here we are in our experience area.
Again when you fill out your LinkedIn profile
make sure you fill out all of your information completely
and correctly. Get the names of the companies right be sure your punctuation
is correct and make sure your dates
are as correct as possible. With that
I am the founder of a company called Dallas Media Production here in Dallas,
Texas.
We're a video marketing businesses social media management company.
And what it's important for you to know is you want to make sure
your keywords that you want to be found for that were also up in your headline
area as we discussed in video 1
and 2 that those keywords are
also in your headline for
these positions if at all possible and related
in if not at least include them in the copy
or the body have the information down here just like we see
right here. Social media marketing
online video marketing. These things are in my paragraphs

Now here's a little tip for you when you put these keywords in
your copy or in your body of all your type you're going to put
make sure it flows and it has
good syntax and makes good grammatical
since. For example paragraph 2 as we see here.
Today social media marketing and online video marketing have emerged in taking
the world over as the dominant platforms for branding,
lead generation etc.etc. Be a
be very cautious about throwing keyword dinner just for the sake of going in
there
when companies see this or other people see this
they will be out of your sight because it looks like you're desperately
grasping
trying to be found and you're not a very good communicator.
Don't do this. You can go ahead and include the information in there in a
nice decent fashion
and get your point across at the same time. So as we scroll down
you notice here I have some information about being president with the Allen
Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
this is another position I hold and I have discovered a way to put in
my marketing information here and
here is an example. So
be sure and do these things with the company's you work with.
Your gonna go ahead and do that through out the rest of your job history this is
basically your digital resume
but use the options in LinkedIn to leverage
those keywords do you have in your headline area.
Remember those keywords are words or phrases people are actually typing
in their Google and Yahoo and Bing search to
find you. You want them to be able to find you in LinkedIn is well.
Now they're gonna find you on LinkedIn on the search in this bar
right here. Okay, so you want to be sure and use
good words a people were actually searching for.
