Brazzo, first of all, welcome back.
Thanks. It’s nice to see everything that’s happened here.
What have you been up to since you left Juventus?
I stopped playing in June, July. I’m now living in Monaco and I’m good.
You’ve now taken up journalism and thought,
why not interview a champion and ex-team mate like Gigi Buffon?
And so you’ve come here to do just that.
We followed your interview and congratulations,
there aren’t many journalists who ask the incisive questions that you did.
What was like to interview a friend like Gigi?
Honestly, it didn’t feel like an interview.
We spoke and I didn’t once look at the questions I’d written down.
I spoke to him as if I was speaking to a friend.
I think something good came out of it.
As you correctly recalled,
You werw here for four years and the minute you left,
Juventus won everything.
You’ve obviously followed Juventus’ fortunes.
What do you think of the current team?
I watch almost every game.
It’s a great thing that’s happened over the last two years.
It’s pleasing and I’m very happy about it.
It’s nice to see a club that previously had some problems
has now got a new stadium,
wonderful museum and all these things that have happened.
It’s a great Juve.
On the subject of the stadium,
which you’ve obviously seen as a part of the interview was held there,
would you have liked to have played in it?
Of course. Everyone wants to play in stadia like this one.
I’ve played in many fantastic stadia
and this is definitely one of the best I’ve seen.
It’s an extremely important thing for Italy.
Those who come to the stadium also visit the museum.
You’ve seen your name written on the wall
and there’s also a video dedicated to you.
How does it feel to be part of the museum and the history of Juventus?
Wonderful. Everything here is amazing.
It’s nice to see all of this and to know that I’ve been part of this magnificent club.
It’s great.
Gigi spoke very highly of Antonio Conte during the interview.
In your opinion, given how Juventus play, how would you have fared in the team’s system?
In which position do you feel you’d have been able to make a contribution?
I don’t know but from what the players have told me,
I think I would have worked well with the manager.
I always worked well and gave 100% even in training.
I think that’s what he’s after, and that’s why this team is so good.
Everyone works well and he wants players who work and run.
I think I would have got on well with him.
Was it a special feeling to come back to Turin and see old friends?
Has Juventus remained in your heart?
Yes, forever.
I spent four great years here and, even if we didn’t win the championship,
I met many people who have remained friends for life.
I experienced a new culture and I also speak a bit of Italian…
So I’ll never forget Turin, Juventus and all the friends I have here.
It’s a part of my life.
