(Amy) Hi, I’m Amy from Close To My Heart. Today, I want to show you two
new Workshops on the Go projects that will look wonderful displayed in your home.
Both of these projects are featured in the Autumn/Winter 2012 Idea Book,
so feel free to check them out for ordering details after I show you
how fantastic they are. First, our Scroll Album is really easy to put together
but it really packs a punch when it’s done. Can you picture it on your
mantle or a prominent bookshelf or really anywhere in your home that you
want to make look special? The kit comes with about four feet of the Craft paper
that’s attached to this sturdy wooden spool. It also includes the buttons,
the canvas stickers, and an exclusive stamp set. It also includes an
instructional booklet with step-by-step instructions so you know just what to do.
Now when you’re making this project, there’s a couple of things you’re going
to want to remember. First, you’re going to want to use real photo quality paper
instead of cardstock to print your photos because it’s more flexible.
Now as you’re attaching the photos, you’re going to want to use Bonding Memories Glue.
This also helps with the flexibility. As you roll and unroll the Scroll
over time, you want to make sure that the pictures stay right in place.
Some crinkling may occur, but it should be minimal. When you attach the buttons,
Glue Dots work best and then when you move on to the canvas stickers,
even though they come with a strong adhesive already, I like to put a thin
layer of Liquid Glass on them, just to make sure they stay in place over time.
Now, our new Advent Calendar is really beautiful but it’s super easy to make!
All I did was use the new Cricut® Artiste Cartridge to cut out the boxes,
score on the tic marks, stamp, embellish, and fold. And then I was done.
The kit includes everything you see here, except for the ink and the
cartridge, of course. You’ll receive the My Creations™ Cubby, an exclusive stamp set
that includes the numbers, the frames, and the small icons. It includes
the pre-printed Dimensional Elements Frames, Bitty Sparkles, and
15 pieces of cardstock to complete the boxes. All you have to do
is add some candies or an inspirational message into the box and you’re done.
I just love it! And the best thing about it is it brings joy into your home
by bringing your family together. You can count down to a special holiday
or an occasion by pulling out a box each day together. I love how both of these
home décor items focus on the family, whether displaying treasured family photos
or celebrating a special occasion with loved ones. If you’d like to make either
of these home décor projects — or both for that matter — talk with your
