Next up we have the Flam. Now the basic Flam is on the quarter note so you have the one
two three four pulse but what makes it a Flam is that you're not just going like this. You're
adding a little quiet note just before you hit the snare drum on the strong beat, so
it goes. See this is coming down like that softer right before the beat. And that's what
makes the Flam sound, and you practice this with alternating sticking between each beat
so it's. Check out what it looks like here it's kind of interesting. There's a small
little note written tied, that's called a tie, tied to that note and so that's what
you know what it is. You see these sticking to little L for left hand and big R for the
right hand on the strong beat the same for right there just the R then the L. And that
is the Flam.
