Has the CIA begun sending weapons to Syrian rebels?
According to The Washington Post — yes. The Post cites anonymous U.S. officials saying
arms shipments began two weeks ago.
The Washington Post reports those arms shipments are light and can be tracked.
But according to CNN, Syrian rebels are denying they've gotten any CIA-funded weapons.
The U.S. has been supplying non-lethal aid like communications equipment and body armor
for months.

Russian President Vladimir Putin shared his thoughts on Syria in a New York Times piece
published Wednesday, in which he urged President Obama to "stop using the language of force
and return to the path of civilized diplomatic and political settlement."
That was largely seen as a counter to President Obama's televised address earlier this week,
in which he called a possible diplomatic solution encouraging but still reserved the right to
strike.
OBAMA: "Let me make something clear. The United States military doesn't do pinpricks. Even
a limited strike will send a message to Assad that no other nation can deliver." (Via ABC)
Kerry's meeting with Lavrov happens in Geneva, Switzerland.
