Discussions are a collaboration area where you can post, read and reply to messages on different topics, share thoughts about course materials, ask questions, share files, or work with classmates on assignments.
To access Discussions, select Discussions from the Assessments drop-down menu on the navigation bar.

You may also select a link that an instructor may have created to a Discussion forum or topic from Content. Selecting a link from content will take you directly to the forum or topic associated with the link.

In the Discussion List, you will see a list of the available forums and topics in a course. Forums are used to organize discussions into categories, and Topics are the areas of discussions where the actual posting of messages and replies takes place.

Select a topic to go into that discussion.
Messages in a topic are displayed in the order that they are posted. Replies will appear under the original message and are indented. To view a message select the subject and the message will appear in the reading pane below the messages. Selecting a message will mark the message as read.
