The FIA follows closely the work on the Venturi VBB-3.
Powers developed until 3,000hp and speeds reached further 600 kph
can lead to other sports applications.
"Gildo works with our teams
on another project,
a Formula E championship project
which will start next year."
Venturi is considering for months
this Formula E championship project.
"I think we have to pay homage to Formula E because
this is the first international championship conduced by the FIA
that can bring within the cities the electric competition.
There are many subjects that remain to be developed
and this is an opportunity for Venturi as an engine company
developing the most advanced solutions
and I think this is really interesting to discover tomorrow these engines
inside the racing single-seater. This is an on-going study,
we spend lot of time and attention on this subject
and I hope this will succeed because this would be nice not to be alone at top speed
on a salt lake but to confront others on a track."
The FIA believes in a collaboration with Venturi,
specialist of the electric sports car for more than 10 years
and records since 2009.
"Indeed, there is a link with
a record vehicle like the one that will perform in Bonneville
in few weeks. The single-seaters
with electric power are still in development phase
but I follow closely this project
I hope this will have a synergy with the everyday cars."
