If you’re sitting in a car after a car accident, you’ve just been injured, your car is damaged.
But the first thing you realized after the accident happens is that the driver of the
other vehicle who has hit you has sped off. You didn’t get their license plate. You
didn’t get their insurance information. You didn’t get any information whatsoever
about them. And you’re concerned that now you have a damaged car and you have a lot
of injuries, but you’re not sure if you’re entitled to compensation. Well let me tell
you that I deal with these types of cases every day and that you absolutely may be entitled
to compensation for those injuries. And here’s why. I can think of a case recently that I’ve
worked on in which a similar scenario unfolded. Someone was hit, the driver fled and their
car was never seen again by the person who came to us. Now we had an investigator go
out and look into this a little further and found a videotape of this accident, as it
was occurring. Through that videotape we were able to find out the license plate of this
other driver and we were able to start a case for the person who came to us. Now of course
there are cases where there might not be a videotape of an accident that occurred and
that’s OK too, because New York has special laws that are set up whereby if you’ve been
a victim of a car accident but you really have no idea who the person was who hit you,
you may also still be entitled to compensation. Now I’m sure you have a lot of questions
if you’ve been involved in an accident of this nature. So here’s what I’d like you
to do. I’d like you to give me a call. I deal with cases like this every day and I
have all the answers to the questions that you probably have right now. So if you have
those questions, give me a call and most of all thanks for watching.
