Hey, have a lookie-loo here. It's the HP 2230s Notebook,
almost a sub notebook actually. It's in that neighborhood.
It's a 12 incher. This is kinda like having a netbook,
but a lot more powerful and a lot more features.
And it's a very nice little package, actually.
When you first get it and open it up it's got a matt black finish on it.
It's a very tiny footprint, very small size of a large book maybe.
And it's packed with some pretty good components.
Core 2 Duo, 1.8 Ghz is to be found inside this thing.
It's got 1 GB of DDR2 ram. 120 GB hard drive.
It has a dual layer DVD-RW drive.
So, if you're comparing this to a netbook, remember, that's one of the bid advantages
to a notebook this size over a netbook
is that it does have the dual layer optical drive,
which is really, really nice.
12.1 inch screen, 1280 x 800, which is actually really high resolution
for a screen this small and is going to,
even though it's a small screen, it's going to provide you plenty of real estate
because of that really high pixel depth.
It has the GMA, the Intel integrated GMA 4500 graphics processor on board.
While Intel's making strides and the 4500 is better
than a lot of the previous series,
it's still sort of not a gamer's kinda thing.
But, you know, this isn't really meant to be a gaming notebook.
So, don't worry about it.
But, it does have graphics built into it that are more than powerful enough to handle Vista,
more than powerful enough to handle intensive graphic applications.
Just probably not serious 3D gaming.
It has b, g, and n Wireless built in.
It also has about a four pound weight.
So, it's light.
At four pounds is actually a really, really nice weight.
And the battery is rated at about 3.5 hours on this particular notebook.
So, let me show you what we've got going on here.
On the front you find a very, very simple layout.
Very simple design. Speaker bar across the top
along with a touch sensitive volume slider,
and touch sensitive buttons for mute to turn your Wireless on and off,
to turn on external displays, it's all there.
One touch on a capacitive touch panel across the top of the notebook.
On the lower right, you'll find actually a thumbprint reader,
a fingerprint reader. So, that's for security purposes.
A very good business notebook.
It's perfect for being on the road.
And this is... That's your fingerprint reader on the side.
You have an Express 34 slot right here.
And then under the Express 34 slot
is your SD and MMC reader right there.
You'll notice, it does have an HDMI port, which is really, really nice.
2 USB ports on the side, VGA located right there.
On the other side you'll find your DVD dual layer drive.
This is a DVD-RW drive, so you're going to be able to burn and back up all your stuff
right from this DVD drive.
It does have LightScribe built in, so you're going to be able to flip your DVDs over
and actually burn labels right onto the face of them, which is really, really cool.
Another USB port on the side. Gigabit LAN, your modem port,
and your power port located right here.
And then on the front you have headphone and microphone jacks.
Really, really easy to get to. And along, actually along the top of the computer here,
you're gonna find stereo microphones right here.
So, it's a very nice little package.
Cool little computer. It comes with a XP Pro out of the box.
The XP Pro downgrade but does also have,
you can also have a Vista license available to you as well,
if that's the route that you want to go.
But this is a nice little travel business machine.
Perfect road machine. It has all the functionality you're going to need
while working on the road to be able to get it all done.
Nice, long battery life. Nice, light-weight,
and all the security features that your boss is going to appreciate as well.
So, this is the HP 2230s with a 12.1 inch screen.
Nice, high resolution 12.1 inch screen.
1 GB of ram, 120 GB hard drive.
Very nice machine for the money.
So, if this is what you're looking for, have at it.
