Mayor Moira McLaughlin: Good evening councillors. Cllrs: Good evening, Madam Mayor. Mayor Moira McLaughlin: Please sit down.
*interference from nearby mobile phone*
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: Could we make a start please by taking apologies for absence tonight? I've already had Councillor Ann Bridson.
Cllr Chris Blakeley: Thank you, Madam Mayor, Simon Mountney.
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: That's it?
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: Then, before we move onto announcements, I've got one rather sad piece of news
Mayor Moira McLauglin: which is the recent death of ????? in the United States who was a former Labour councillor for South Seacombe between 1972 and 75. It's very sad news.
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: Right, I've got some nicer stuff to tell you about. The first thing is that you'll notice here we've got this wonderful trophy as a result of our success in the
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: golf tournament. It happens each year apparently only because Cllr Kate Wood during her year as Mayor resurrected this
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: opportunity to show the world and our prowess to the Sefton.
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: I did say when I was going over to bring the trophy over with me and I did say to the people who were playing
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: for us that I had no intention of coming back without it
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: and we didn't. And so all I have
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: officers and members who took part in the tournament. I know
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: that certainly Dave was very instrumental in the
Mayor Moira McLaughlin: success of the tournament. Notice I'm not saying win. We didn't actually win
