>>Hi, my name is Darby Pearce
My favorite accomplishment from this season would have to be beating
Methodist since they are Division III
Individuals and the team played well as a whole
that day and that would be our greatest accomplishment as a team so far this season
>>Hey, my name is Zach Lee
I chose Wake Tech to play baseball because of the coaching staff. I would say
I get along with my teammates very well. It's a great group. We have a good time together and
we make the best of every situation
>>My name is Meagan Glenn
I manage athletics and academics because our coach stays on us, which makes us want
to play basketball more, and when we're on the way to a game, we are studying for 30 minutes to
an hour and on the way back, if we lose or win, we are still studying, and the ILC and the library
helps us out as well
>>Hi, my name is Ryan Gilbert
I chose Wake Tech because it is a good golf opportunity for me and for academics, and I'm hoping
to transfer somewhere else to play golf in the future. What I like about my teammates is that
we can be very serious in practice and competitive and still be good friends and joke
around off the course
>>My name is Kasey Bryant
I chose Wake Tech because it's close to home. It's a good situation for my academics as
well as basketball. What I like about the team is how close we are. We're like a family and we
all like each other. My best accomplishment of the season is our very first game here in our new
gym here at Wake Tech. I scored 20 points against Sandhills Community College
>>Hi, I'm Britney >>I'm Becky >>I'm Amanda
BRITNEY>>I chose Wake Tech because of the cost and it gave me another opportunity to continue to play
volleyball after high school
BECKY>>I chose wake Tech because I really love the Raleigh location and
I'm from the beach so it's a good branch out for me
AMANDA>>I chose Wake Tech because it has a
really good culinary program
BRITNEY>>I feel like we're pretty much a family. We all get along and we
work hard together and it builds a strong team
BECKY>>I like the fun times we have together. I know I can trust in everybody on our team
AMANDA>>I think we all work really hard and we can all rely on one
another and I think that's important as a team
BECKY>>I manage my time with our team study halls
that we have twice a week. It really helps me get my school work done
>>Hi, my name is Hector Kunchek
>>Hey, my name is Ciel Missie
HECTOR>>and we came to Wake Tech because I had two brothers that played for the Wake Tech soccer team
CIEL>>And the reason why I came to Wake Tech was because I wanted to go to a two-year college.
HECTOR>>I like the culture. It's very diverse. We all get along and we play good as a team
CIEL>>It's a diverse school. We have people from different cultures and you meet different people.
HECTOR>>It's a great school. We have a great coach and a great place
>>Hi my name is Robin Moore
>>Hi, my name is Maria Muna
MARIA>>I chose Wake Tech, honestly, because I heard of Coach Sam
I know what a great player he was back in college and after college and his entire career,
and I thought it would be a
great opportunity to play under him
and play for a school that I really enjoy going to
We're really fun to be around
We're all goofy and no one takes anything to heart,
whether its on the field if we yell at each other,
we know that's just on the field and off the field
we're all friends and teammates and we're just a family
We mesh really well together
ROBIN>>Definitely, I agree. We're all like a big group of friends,
so off the field, we all get along
really well, whether it's on the bus and singing songs or anything else
We get along really great and it's kind of like a big family
and translating that onto the field,
we play really well together
I also heard how great Wake Tech was of a community college,
and not only is soccer important to me, but my academics are also really important,
so coming to Wake Tech provided me the opportunity
to get a great education and a great soccer experience
>>Hello, my name is Barry Street. I'm the athletic director here at Wake Tech
Wake Tech offers eleven NJCAA sports and we also have a cheerleading program
We appreciate our athletes and we expect excellence both on and off the court
We look forward to adding new student athletes each and every year
Maybe one day, you too can become an Eagle
