Hi, this is Ken, and I'm here to talk to you about the basics of beginning golf. Now we
talk about the basics of beginning golf, now we talk about the various clubs, the next
thing we have to be concerned about is holding on to the club. Now the clubs come with a
certain amount of grip on them, and there is a certain correct way to putting your hands
on the club. I'm starting with my left hand and I grab the club, and as you see my thumb
is sticking out, my fingers are wrapped around the club. I then take my right hand I put
the finger between the index and the thumb and I make another thumb out. This is the
v grip. The idea is to keep your hand relaxed; don't grab on too tight, or you will be too
nervous. You won't get a good stroke. A v grip is... you, look closely, you see the
right hand comes over the top thumb there, all pointing out, and it makes a v. If you
look at my two arms, a v. Gripping with the left hand, putting the right hand between
the index finger and the middle finger. My little finger goes there I make a v. Thank
you!
