Hey Guys! Let's make a run down to the scrapyard. I'm packing up the car right now and figured
that I would show yall what I have. Big ole box of steel here. My neighbors, they had
a swingset that they had up in their yard and it's been taken down for a long time now.
So I asked them "What are yall doing with that?, do yall want to get rid of it". And
they were like "Yeah my brother was supposed to come and get it and they never did." So
I told them that I made trips down to the scrapyard I can bring it down there and get
it off your hands for you, if you want." And they said "Yeah come on by and take it." So
we have all this metal right here. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 poles. So we're gonna take as much as
we can. They have like a little opening in the middle of the backseat, so I can slide
them through there. Like this, and that way we can at least get some of this stuff. And
then it's just gonna run through the car, out between the carseats, and it's gonna come
up to there. So, they're nice long poles, and they have pretty good weight to them so
hopefully we have a pretty good run today at the yard. Alright guys, got my poles all
in. That should be some good weight right there. I found this Old Smokey BBQ pit. We
have a fake Christmas tree here, that has steel in it. I took all of the lights off
of that and I put them in a bucket here because this goes with wire. If you have old Christmas
lights. So I've got two buckets of wire so that should be good. I found an old ironing
board. And then on the other side of the car here, we have a big ole box of Aluminum, motor
that I found from a weed wacker, and this is some electrical motors in here. And then
here is some more steel down here. We should have a pretty good run today. The copper is
what's gonna make it really good. Maybe some of that swingset stuff for steel prices. Alrighty
guys, here we are at the yard, getting rid of some stuff, making a little big of money.
Looks like it's fairly empty today too, which is awesome. So I don't have to wait in line.
Woot woot! Alrighty guys, that's what we got here. First time bringing a battery in too.
Found that out in a dumpster. So, let's go see what it's worth. Well guys, a couple of
things that kind of sucked about this. Whoa! I didn't notice that! That big ole battery,
I got $8.75 for that. They don't do that by the pound, they do that by the battery. So
you get $8.75 per battery. Awesome. Christmas lights: Wow! I was taking them off some, like,
little Christmas fixture things that go outside and you only get .20 a pound. So it's probably
not worth it to take off Christmas lights. We gotta get weighed today to see if we can
get more money. 3,580? You can go to the back. Thank you. So I didn't do as good as I liked,
but it's still a pretty decent ticket. I'll show yall after I dump this steel. Looks like
I was wrong about there not being anybody here today. It is a packed yard. Come on people,
let's move out. Alrighty guys, just lost a bunch of weight. Let's go see what all this
steel is worth. Let's go see how much we weigh now. 3,400. There it is. I got my ticket.
I got my ticket. $15! Woot woot! That's about what I expected for all that. Alright guys,
what do we have here? 20, 5, 6, 7, 8 plus a check that I need to come pick up for $16.80.
What does that total? About $42 - $44 somewhere around there dollars. YEAH! That's nice! I'll
take that. Money to pay down some debt! Making it happen. Just a matter of picking up the
little bits that everybody leaves during trash time and bringing it over here to get it recycled.
Hey guys, I'm out scraping right now just kind of seeing what I can find as I go home
after I've dropped off everybody, and I literally found money on the ground. Look!
