OK, let’s start from the beginning. In such a curve, what do you do ?
I brake like a crazy dog and dive immediatly to the apex.
You've got the exact disease of many bikers. You go too early to the apex, you are stuck to it, you just can’t lean more or change anything in your trajectory.
When you open gas, you are outside of your lane, you are in a real danger.
Whereas me, I try to stay as long as possible on the outside of my lane before entering the curve to finally make turn my bike on its rush.
I go to the appex much later than you. When I open gas, I stay on my lane.

You know, the most important when you ride a bike, is your survival instinct. Think instead of others, be carefull instead of them, and anticipate, always.

How to ride correctly in an hairpin.
Ok. How would you ride safely in an hairpin ?
You’re just a dog of attack ! Once again, you go too early to the apex, you try to preserve some speed in the hairpin like in a normal curve.
And again you are outside of your lane when you try to accelerate with too much angle on the rear tire.
If there is a place where you can be a little bit outside of your lane, it is just when you brake before entering in the hairpin.
Because you’ve got the right visibility and you can modify your trajectory at any moment.
You will think about staying upright with your bike, to brake strongly upright, and almost stop your bike in the middle of the hairpin.
When you’ve gost the lowest speed, you make it turn by turning your head towards the inside of the hairpin.
You will come out of the hairpin with a minimum angle, being able to accelerate strongly without any risk. You are safe.

How to brake correctly on road.
Here is exactly a situation in which you are in a real danger. Being lend somebody’s else motorcycle or switching to a more powerfull model.
You arrive too fast in the curve, you get surprised because of the bike’s power, you brake hard, it locks your steering, you focus on the place where you are going to crash and it happens.
To brake correctly, you first have to move back on your seat. I am not sticked to the tank.
I will first use the rear brake to operate the mass transfer and stabilize the bike, and then only, I will brake strongly with my front brake.
But as soon as I get into the curve, I have to be able to open my hand and release the front brake to enter smoothly into the curve.
If I still get surprised by the speed, I still do have to release the front brake and watch inside the curve to make turn the bike.
If I still have too much speed in the curve, I can use the rear brake but only the rear to slow down the bike and move it towards the apex.
I can even lean the bike a little bit more without any risk.

In both cases, you’ve got to know that it takes time to regain confidence.

Before a blind curve, you need to place yourself to the maximum on the outside lane of the curve, just to widen your vision angle.
