Highlight text to annotate it

Hello and welcome to this video presentation that is going to introduce you to PowerPoint
Ink Tools.
PowerPoint Ink Tools allow you to easily annotate your PowerPoint slides and save your annotations
right in the presentations.
This can be great for highlighting information, making a presentation more engaging, and also
allows your students to access your notes and highlights later.
Now to use Ink Tools, you want to have your PowerPoint presentation open, and start your
presentation.
Click on slide show, and From Beginning.
Now this is just a sample presentation I made for this video.
Not to access Ink Tools, bring your pointer down to the lower left hand corner of the
screen and you will see a few icons there.
The third one is a pen and laser pointer tool. Click on that and you will see you have access
to a laser pointer, pen, highlighter and eraser to erase your annotations if you need to.
To use the laser pointer, click on that and then wherever you point on the presentation
is going to look like a laser.
This can be a good way to highlight important information when you are speaking.
You can click on the pen tool, it's already red but you can change the colour. Now you
can draw on the screen, circle things, or add notes.
You can use a stylus for this instead of a mouse pointer and that will make your annotations
a lot neater.
And finally, you can click on the highlighter and just drag the cursor over the text you
want to highlight. And again, if you have a stylus, this is going to look much neater.
And when you are done with your presentation, PowerPoint will automatically ask you if you
want to keep your ink annotations.
So you can either choose to keep them, or discard them.
We hope you decide to try PowerPoint Ink tools in your next presentation.
Thanks for watching!
