Hello my friends and welcome to another Tuesday of Tutorial.
I am Leonardo Pereznieto and because you have been requesting it, insistently for over a year,
I will do a Manga sketch.
We will do this ketch in a very simple way.
We start with a circle which doesn't have to be perfect or anything.
Do it lightly because we are going to erase it later.
From that we extend 2 lines for the sides of the face.
If you wish you can draw a center line as a guide.
Here will be the chin.
At the bottom of the original circle, goes the nose,
which for Manga can be oversimplified with an "L" shape.
And just below the nose, goes the mouth.
Just above the height of the nose go the bottom of the eyes
and as they are usually huge, the top will be about here.
It is not necessary to draw the whole eye, you can do an arch for the top eyelid,
and a little piece of the bottom one.
In between them is the iris, the part of the eye which has color.
The iris is an oval which is usually visible on the lower part,
and may be partially covered at the top.
Of course this may change depending on the expression and the position of the glance.
The eyebrows may be a little bit thicker at the center and going thinner to the sides.
Let's draw some eyelids, the reflection and the pupils.
For the hair you can do inverted triangles in different shapes and positions.
At this point we can fine tune anything as we like. In this case I'll do the face just
a little thinner.
Good.
You may shade the eyes with horizontal lines which are darker at the top and they become
lighter on the bottom.
This effect looks VERY professional! Now let's reinforce the lines.
By the way, this summer I will be touring some European cities to deliver drawing
workshops and lectures. If you would like to hire me so I come to your city, please
write to my assistant to this address [info@leopereznieto.com].
Very well! I'd love to know what do you think about this drawing,
and whether you would like me to do more Manga tutorials, or not.
If you enjoyed it, please give it a LIKE and subscribe to my channel.
You know where to follow me and where the links are. And I'll see you on Tuesday!
