Hello in this tutorial I show you how to make a box like this
Material
cardboard of different colors, ruler, pencil and eraser
crease-tool, scissors, glue stick or double-sided tape
optional: craftingeek decorative paper, colored sheets, markers, ribbons and perforators of figures
First make the base figure with cardboard of the color you want, make a rectangle of 32 x 16 cm
cut it
you´ll have this
make marks every 8 cm at the top and bottom
Join each pair of marks with a straight line
you will have four sections like this
now on the right and left side, mark every 4 cm
in this first line make a mark at 4 cm from the bottom
join this pair of marks with a straight line
in the second line make a mark at 8 cm
and guiding with the mark you made on the left side, trace a straight line in the second column
In the bottom extend the first line you made until the second column
do the same in the third column, starting with a mark at 12 cm
and guiding with lateral marks, make a straight line
Extend the line above you did
continue the line you just made
you´ll have rectangles like this
this is where the drawers will be
make folds on the vertical lines
Help yourself with a rounded object
so it's easier to fold
when all folds are made, leave aside
take another color of cardboard, we will make the drawers
make 4 squares of 16 x 16 cm
make the square carefully, the measures must be exact or else you'll have trouble closing the box
you must have this
take one
and make marks at 4 cm on each side
Start with the two top marks, at 4 cm from the edge
then follow with lowers
continue with the right side
and finally the left
join each pair of marks with a straight line
you should have lines like this
the central square should measure 8 x 8 cm
make a cut on each of these four lines
mark over the remaining lines, which are the folds
when you finish, flip these tabs inward
Put glue on them
I recommend you to use glue stick so you prevent creasing cardboard
glue to the laterals in this way
do the same with the remaining tabs
now you have the first drawer
do the same with the other 3 figures
decorate the bottom of the drawers if you want
you can use deco paper, colored sheets and even wrapping paper
take the base figure and put double sided tape on the rectangles you have
I'm using double sided tape because it is easier to use
before gluing the drawers you need to decorate the spaces that you have here
For this, use decorative paper, ribbons, buttons and any other material you want
you can also put pictures and dialog boxes to decorate
in the drawers you can also put messages
glue the drawers
removed the tape or put glue, align the drawer and glue
do the same with others
the box with drawers must close well
to cover, make a square of 16.5 x 16.5 cm
Make the same marks at 4 cm on all sides
follow the same procedure you did for the drawers until you have finished the figure
when you finish, cover the main figure
it has to close without any problems
if you want, you can use a strip to close the bottom
or you can also use yarn or ribbon
the box should look like this
we're done
