Oh hi, everyone. This is Ann Clemmer with another unmentionable video. You know, those
questions that you have that you think everybody knows so you don't want to ask. Hey, we're
going to answer another one of those questions. In fact, we're going to go just a little bit
farther than we did in our last video. In our last video we talked about the Cutter
vs. the Trimmer. In this video, we're going to make a project
with the Trimmer and show you how the measurements work in
with the scoring - it's going to be great!
And what better way to start off a project than with chocolate!?
These little miniatures go great with Real Red if you want to have an exact match.
But I want something that's going to coordinate with all the colors
so I think Marina Mist is a good point. And you know, it goes better with snowflakes
in my world. So you see where I've stamped them already.
We're going to start off with a 2" by 5-1/2" piece of Marina Mist
and then put the end of the card stock into the cutting blades
of the Decorative Label Punch. Make sure that your card stock and the edge
of the punch are parallel. and then give it a little push.
Each one of these are going to come out a little bit differently
because sometimes you're going to punch off a little bit more than other times.
And I guarantee you it's going to be easier to get that card stock in there
than it was for me! Each one of them is going to be a little bit
different. We're going to get out our cutter and then
we're going to just measure it- oh, I'm sorry, but those lines just don't
do well with the camera but- you can see where it's just a little bit less
than 5-1/2". So you want to leave at least a little over
an inch for the middle part where the candy is.
So I've already measured that before I ate some. (laughter)
I've decided to go and line up the humps with the 2-inch mark.
We'll see how that goes. Now the dark blade is for cutting and the
light blade's for scoring. It's always a good idea to go over it lightly
and go over it more than once than to go an push really hard because any
scoring blade will cut if you push it hard enough.
So anyway, there we've got it. Mine are, golly- it's almost an inch and a
quarter so I think I'm going to have a different effect than I was originally thinking.
But that's okay. Now you're going to go and really make good
creases in those lines by using your Bone Folder.
And Bone Folders are great for cards but especially 3-D items
because it makes it to where the crease will stay in there a lot better.
So now it's going to be time to get that candy in there.
And you could use SNAIL but I'm going to use Mini Glue Dots this time
because I think that they have a little bit more stickum.
One of these days we'll do a video all about adhesives.
But I do include hints about adhesives and other things in my Master Stamper videos.
Those are a great help. You always learn something different than
what you think you're going to when you start the project- just like this
one perhaps. Now we're going to stack them up evenly and
there's a little bit of play there. I would rather have the base too big than
too small. Now get one of these staplers and keep it
by your stamp table. They have them in Office Depot or Office Max,
Staples or Target and they have a magnetic base to keep it by your stuff.
So now I've got some Glimmer Paper - and this is not the way the project ended up because
this is not the way I want to do the ribbon on there.
Now if I was really going to be fancy I would cover that staple on the back.
But here, take a look at how I really did that ribbon.
We'll cover that in another video! This is Ann Clemmer and Stamper from stamperdog.com,
just trying to put a little ink, paper, and fun into your day.
Come by and stamp with us soon.
