One of the many ways to practice Warrior II Pose a Standing Strength Pose is to come back
to back with your partner, and allow your partner's back and hips to align with yours
so that you can come in to the proper alignment. So I'm going to ask Gina to come back to back,
we're going to take a Wide Stance. So kind of line your heels up with your partner's.
Good. And then make sure your shoulder girdle is right over your hip girdle and lightly
pressing into your partner's lengthening out through the crown of the head. We're going
to reach the arms out to the side. This is the Star Pose. Good. So your going to turn
your front foot out, toes towards the front. Inhale in and exhale, see if you can't just
sink right down so you lengthen up and you keep the shoulders pressing into each other.
The good thing about this pose is that keeps your hips and shoulders in alignment by checking
with your partner's to make sure they are in alignment with yours. And then you're going
to look toward your front hand, and that would be your drishi. Now make sure you don't have
your shoulders up to your ears. Relax your shoulders down, feel the strength in the legs.
Good. And then just breath.
