Your realtor is extremely important in what you are doing when you are
purchasing a home. That's why you need to interview them before you
get started. Personal referrals to a Realtor are wonderful. Homework
done on the Internet, perfect. Watching their YouTube videos, like
this one, great. But you still want to interview the agent. You want
to ask them: are familiar with the area you are looking to move in?
How long have they been doing real estate? Are they full time? You
know, how many transactions are they doing? How many transactions have
they done in their experience? The reason that's important is because
those experience milestones, every time they go and have a transaction
and have a closing, they become more articulate at discussing with you
and setting your expectations, they become better prepared to solve
problems before they become a problem. So, Yes, the experience of your
realtor is very important. So please take time, interview your
realtor, and as a buyer, take your time. It's just, don't go out with
just a friend who has a real estate license, we all start somewhere.
But you want to make sure your agent's experienced.
