Hi there, I'm Paul Murray
with SouthernOutdoorCinema.com where we
produce turn-key outdoor movie events.
Today I want to talk to you about fundraising raising with outdoor movies.
A fundraising event should be
fun and stress free, easily
raise money for your organization,
and be entertaining and memorable for your audience.
Are you tired of selling chocolate?
Or selling wrapping paper for Christmas time?
Why not try something different for your fundraiser.
Outdoor movie events make great
fundraisers for three reasons;
number one they appeal to all
ages, number two they
are stress free to organize
with the help of Southern Outdoor Cinema.
And number three they raise valuable dollars for your charity.
Today I'm gonna share with you
three tips on how you
can make money with your outdoor movie event.
Number one: consider selling
concessions, such as movie
snacks including popcorn and candy and soda.
And also consider possibly pre-order
dinner packages, where you
can go ahead and have people
sign up for dinner packages
before the night of the
event so you know how many
dinners you're actually going to order.
Number two; consider doing a silent auction.
Get local businesses or folks
to donate items for the
silent auction and then
announce the winner before the movie starts on one of our microphones.
And number 3, take
advantage free movie time.
Consider using a dunk tank.
That is a great way of
raising money because everybody wants to dunk somebody.
You know, it could be a principal school if you're a school.
It could be a local politician
or senator if you're doing
this for a local community event.
It could be the local sheriff.
It's a great way of raising
money and all things you can do before the start of the movie.
But the number one way of
raising money for your fundraiser
is something I'll share to you It's our little secret.
