Hi, this is Jon and in this clip we'll be laying out the ends. For my end pieces I need
to start out with a black that is 9 1/4 inches wide by 12 inches long. Using a steel rule,
I'm going to measure out 9 1/4 and make a couple marks, and then connect those two together.
Next I'm going to do the same procedure and mark out 12 inches, and connect those two
together. The next thing I need to make is this angled line. Now, I need to measure up
4 1/4 inches, and I need to measure over 2 7/8 inches, and I'm going to draw a little
dot or a little line at those points, and then I'm just going to take my steel rule
and connect those. So we got 4 1/4 and 2 7/8, and we're just going to connect those two
together. That's going to give me the angle for half of my side; I'm going to continue
this for my other side. Now a good idea is to cross out any lines that you do not need
any longer. And I'm also going to put an "x" in the areas that I'm going to cut away from
my good piece. So, I got my good piece in the center, I'm going to cut these pieces
with the "x" off.
