Bulgarian Seaside
The Bulgarian Seaside is diverse and beautiful.
Bulgaria is a small country in the southeast part of Europe,
but it is blessed with exceptional nature, favorable climate,
and the tender Black Sea.
Along the length of the Bulgarian Black Sea shore –
380 km to the north and the south, there are golden beaches,
romantic sunsets and picturesque mouths of rivers and dense forests.
The Bulgarian Black Sea resorts offer wonderful options
for rest, recovery of our health and beauty
and numerous entertainment options.
The beaches are popular in the whole world for the fine and clear sand.
It is not accidental that every year Bulgarian beaches and yacht ports
receive the authoritative ecological prize Blue Flag,
which distinguishes them by cleanliness and way of management.
Black Sea is a low salinity sea,
the average temperature of the sea water is 24°С,
and its high tides and low tides are almost unnoticeable,
which makes it suitable for swimming in the summer months.
All resorts on the Bulgarian Black Sea
have their specific charm,
admirers and regular guests from close and distant parts of the world.
Kavarna is a sea town in the north part of the Black Sea,
which gained popularity in the past few years
by the annual rock festival "Kaliakra Rock Fest",
which gathers here every summer famous rock bands from the whole world
and their admirers.
Balchik is situated nearby. It is a magnetic seashore town with rich history
and beautiful landmarks.
The botanical garden in Balchik keeps
the second largest collection of giant cactuses in Europe.
Albena is situated 25 km north of Varna City.
The resort is situated amidst green forest and is suitable for family rest.
Albena has one of the longest and widest sand stripes in Bulgaria.
This provides an option for various entertainments
by the sea shore - open air sports,
extreme experiences, diving,
romantic walks along the shore.
Golden Sands - one of the oldest Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria.
It is situated north of Varna city,
and the rock monastery - Aladzha Monastery - is situated nearby.
The beach of Golden Sands is famous for its fine sand.
The resort is very popular among young people,
because of the attractive hotels and restaurants and bars,
which offer entertainments around the clock.
The largest Bulgarian Black Sea city - Varna -
receives tourists with its unique architecture,
sunny boulevards
and numerous landmarks, and entertainment options.
Varna also offers its guests rich cultural program.
Its highest top is during the festival "Varna Summer",
which covers the city streets with joy and festival atmosphere
during the entire active tourist season.
The following sites are situated harmoniously to the north of the city:
the oldest Bulgarian resort - St. Konstantin and St. Elena
and the Evksinograd palace.
Here was situated the summer residence
of the Bulgarian monarchs from Batenberg to Boris III.
The complex amazes with the harmony between nature and architectural elements.
Sunny Beach is the largest Bulgarian resort.
It is situated 38 km northeast
of the second in size Bulgarian sea town - Burgas
and is preferred by young people because of its popular bars and parties.
During the summer months world famous artists visit the resort.
Sunny Beach offers multiple entertainment options –
aqua parks, water sports, etc.
The ancient town of Nesebar is also situated nearby.
It is one of the most romantic places in Bulgaria.
The small island collects the inheritance of a number of civilizations
and it is an attractive place for all guests of the country.
It is not accidental that it is included in the UNESCO List
of global cultural inheritance.
Another ancient town - Pomorie - is also situated between Nesebar and Burgas.
It is famous as one of the best balneological resorts in Bulgaria,
because of the healing Pomorian mud, in combination with the air by the sea
and the good recovery conditions.
Another popular resort is Sozopol, a heir of a powerful ancient Greek city,
which keeps valuable wealths of ancient times.
The relics of John the Baptist were found on the nearby island of St. Ivan (St. John)
and presently thousands of people from the whole world visit Sozopol,
to see the ancient relic.
South of Sozopol lay the fascinating sea towns of
Tsarevo, Primorsko, Kiten, Ahtopol and Sinemorets.
They attract multiple young tourists with their endless beaches,
attractive hotels and entertainment establishments and their inexostible good mood.
The Bulgarian Black Sea area is not just sea and seashore.
It offers such a diversity
of resort complexes and settlements,
amazing places for rest,
in which every guest can find their paradise,
every person can find something about themselves, live their dream
and keep a palette of memories.
