Paul: Hello I'm Paul Farmer with the Vol State student blog.
Paul: Just wanted to, uh, find out a good place to eat when you're here on campus. You
need to try the Vol State Grill. Let's take a look and see what we can find out here.
Paul: Hey Abby how you doing? Abby: Hey Paul how are you? Paul: Awesome! Hey I'm just helping
students find the best place to eat on campus. Abby: Well the only place to eat is here in
the grille. Paul: Fantastic! Where are you guys located? Abby: We are in the Wood Campus
Center, second floor.Paul: Okay, excellent, and what are your business hours? Abby: We
are open from about 7:30 to about 3:00. And sometimes a little later than that if we are super busy.
Paul: Is that Monday through Friday? Abby: Monday through Friday. Paul: Okay, uh, what
kind of food do you have here? Abby: We have our grab-n-go, we have, um, fries, and corn
dogs, and pizza that we keep hot and ready, and then we have a salad bar that's fully
loaded, and then you can order off the grill! Paul: Cool, what's the grill like? Abby: The
grill is awesome. Sometimes it takes a little time, because you have a half pound angus
burger, you have, um, chicken quesadilla which are fabulous. You have your Philly sandwiches,
fries, fried pickles, um, funnel fries, it's good stuff. I think the favorite of the students
is the chicken tender basket. Paul: Okay! Abby: 'Cause it's reasonable, it's a lot of food,
takes a little bit longer to cook cause it's fresh, hand breaded chicken breast that are cut in strips, that you can have with fries or tots.
Paul Fields: Don't forget about the meat and three! We put out two entrees every day, typically bacon chicken which is
southern baked. We may have another baked entree as well, but you know, you've got a
couple of choices there. Abby: There's always coffee ready. Several, uh, different flavors.
And there's Starbucks, we've had some Starbucks. It's only 7:30, and then get anything off
the grill as early as 7:30 so if you want a hamburger for breakfast, you got it. Paul:
What about snacks for students during the day? Abby: There are snacks, we have everything
you find in the vending machines are also available here 20 oz. fountain drinks. We
have, um, our Purity milks, orange juice, and let's see, oh the Naked juice are really
good, and now we have Muscle Milk. Paul: So now you know if you need a great place to
eat, go to the Vol State Grille on campus. Abby: Have another one. Paul: Mmm. [Laughter]
