Hi everyone, I'm Franck, manager of Airsoft Concept.
I'm going to show you what I received a few minutes ago,
something we discussed about on Facebook
There's a plain cardboard box but inside something impressive is hidden.
The German WW2 MG42, which is stripped in the box and that we're going to show you.
So, something nice, heavy because it is made of metal. Let's discover this.
Hi, I'm Dingchavez, well, I'm with Franck, from Airsoft Concept here in Tours (France)
and we're going to unpack and put this MG42 together shipped by Europe Accessoires.
First things first, the users manual and assembly instructions for the stock, bipod, how to feed BBs or operate the safety.
As you can see, everything is well held in the box
The cleaning rod is long, to match the length of the inner barrel
And then we've got the different parts of the replica.
Well, I must say that it is too bad that the battery is a weak 8.4V 1100mAh NiCd one.
This is very light to operate a machinegun but you can change the battery
Be careful not to burn the switch using LiPo batteries.
Good idea to include a battery charger, but I wouldn't use this at home
I don't want it to burn !
"use inside only", well, who would use this outside ?
Makes you laugh isn't it ? Yeah…
All right, this is nice, there's a small pack of 0.25g Kyou BBs,
they're good BBs, well, I never had any problems with them.
And this is bonus, those are not sweets, this is desiccant,
so if you live near swamps, you can put this in your underwear !
Ok, let's discover the heart of the gun, the body of this beautiful MG42
The plywood stock
A drum magazine
The bipod and the charging handle
We'll unpack those elements
-So, here is the gun…
-Do you want me to help you carry it ?
-I'm fine I'm fine
Everything is well encased in thick foam
The stock
Errm, what's this ? Must be the BB feeding thingy
The bipod, wow it is heavy ! Unpacking and working out at the same time !
And the drum.
I'm still with Franck who has me creeping on the floor !
So here there's a small sticker with the power of the gun. 1.1J max,
that's about 345 FPS with 0.2 BBs
Here we can see the battery plug
There's enough space to put large batteries.
Here I can insert a 9.6V 1600 mAh nimh battery without any issue.
To mount the stock it is easy : plug it and turn 90 degrees clockwise.
And here there is the stock lock/release
This gun has a very nice look
The iron sights that you can deploy
-There is also the anti-aircraft aiming device if one of your buddies
-if there's a drone!
- yeah if there's a drone you can shoot it, it's not expensive at all :
I'm not really a specialist of the MG42, I couldn't explain it in French
but this is to change the outer barrel on the real gun.
Here is a link to Neo035's Shoei MG42 review
The bipod, that we can put on the gun
There are 2 possible positions, to the front or in the middle
There's a small button with a spring
Well, it should fall…
And here there's an adjusting screw to set the bipod height
(seems that I've lost Franck !) Oh I forgot something,, before mounting the stock
It is better to insert the charging handle in the body of the MG42
If I'm not wrong… it should fit this way.
There are no markings on this replica; I guess that real guns had some
Notice also the plastic grip panels, they look nice
-I can't break it, it costs … how much? 998?
-899€ Yeah I switched numbers !
And here is the drum magazine
Here you can pour BBs without having to fully open the mag
Opening the drum is easy: incline the handle and operate the lock
It can hold up to 2400 BBs and the feeding mechanism is powered by 4 batteries.
It is automatic; as soon as you shoot the BBs are pushed into the hop up unit.
I lock it back into position and then I'll insert the drum
Here is the cover, operate the latch and open it.
We can see the gearbox, very similar to an M249
Here is the spring guide lock, you can change the spring within seconds to adjust power.
Ok, back to me please ! Thanks ! The camcorder guy lives his life :
So here there's the specific hop up unit
And here you can set the hop up, but it is not very tight…
If you wish you can strip the gun entirely…
Notice the length of the inner barrel, it is very long
Franck is going to shoot the muzzle break
We see… what do we see ? We see nothing ? can you see the barrel ?
-You make me do strange things !
-Yeah, do you see the barrel ?
Yes.
Well, I'd say that it is about 600-650mm long
Okay let's finish this
In order to feed the gun, put this plastic part
Then lock the drum on the left side
And then the right side, I'm not in good conditions !
And finally I close the cover, the last step is to plug the wires to the replica
In a few seconds you'll see us shoot this nice BB gun. Thanks for your attention.
Thanks a lot to Franck who invited me to discover this machinegun
-not bad !
-ouhou it rocks
-you'll have to buy kilos of BBs guys!
-yeah, and plasters too !
Awesome !
No more BBs ! You shot everything !
Wasn't me !
1kg of BBs in a few seconds !
