Alan (Lecturer): The unit of Study guide is perhaps one of the most important documents
that any unit of study that you engage with.
Philip (School Leaver): You get in the first class, that’s why it’s really important
to rock up on the first class and the first tutorial can be really boring, they go through
the course guide but you really do have to get to know it because there is so much useful
information in there. The teachers do a lot of research for you.
Alan (Lecturer): You will find details of assessment tasks; you will find details of
your weekly tutorial and lecturer program. You will find details of the textbook you’ll
need and often other references and resources that you will find useful.
Marcelle (Lecturer): Unit guides will also have a timetable and many unit guides also
have the activities in your tutorials week by week.
Philip (School Leaver): It’s got all the readings in there as well and further readings
and don’t be scared of the further readings because that’s the difference between a
distinction and a high distinction.
Marcelle (Lecturer): Unit guides always have the information of your lecturers and your
tutors, so you will have email and contact numbers on your unit guide. So its quiet important
that you keep your unit guides.
Nadike (International Student): It can give you information on plagiarism as well, so
there is a lot of information that you can get from it.
Alan (Lecturer): It’s critical that you always have your unit study guide.
