Funding Video.

Hi my name is Kari Alter, and I want to first thank you for taking a look at my, my funding site. I am looking for funding to purchase a motor trike I live in rural central Belize sort of along the Caribbean central and I live in a remote area. We don't have transportation of our own. So we have to rely upon free rides, hitch hiking, buses and taxi's. We live about four to five miles each direction to a main road so it not immediate access to the buses, taxi's cost an arm and a leg 20 to 35 dollars one direction. The other reason I need it is because my son, Denfield who is profoundly deaf due to meningitis he needs to go to school or if he can't get in to a school with a signing teacher he needs to have out let to help his socialization and to get friends and where we live which is on a large compound on an orange plantation. There are usually anywhere from 20 to 200 itinerant workers here and so it there are usually not allot of children around. The children that are here are not necessarily helpful to our situation or necessarily kind to Denfield's situation.He has not um... he needs to make friends out side of this area, deaf friends Signing friends, we feel that being in town or being able to get to town for events, for parties, for football (soccer ) for going to the library. I mean just really simple things like that or just going to the store and getting the things we need would be great! Let alone emergency situations such a sick children or sick adult. It is not a very relaxing situation if your sick as an adult and you have to figure out a way to get your self to a doctor with no transportation. So what we are asking for is your help. We would like a three wheeled motorcycle with a truck back it is pretty Eco friendly. We are hoping that we will be able to fund this so that I can get my kids to school. Freya is turning five she needs to go to preschool. Denfield needs to be able to go to events or go to school in Dangriga and I personally need to be able to get to the store or just go to town and um get the things we need and have it not be in a rushed manner. I need to to be able to enjoy our time in town and it not be a three hour forced march through town. Hitting all the stops, paying bills, grocery shopping and trying to fit in 30 minutes of play time so that we can catch our ride back. It not a relaxed way of living if we had an extended family here it might be different because we would have people to call upon in case we missed a ride, but being that we are just kind of a lone family out here it very hard because I can't trust that if my kids get to school and don't have a way home that they have any place to go. So I need to depend solely on myself and that is why we home school right now, If you could please give us a chance! Give us a try! Because we don't have a motor that has a back or a front (a back and front) ya then we can go any where that we want to go like that! ( this is different we are not asking for that what are we asking) help for a motor cycle!( Would it help you?) Yea! (Would it change your life?) YES!
