Hi! I’m Angela Sage Larsen. On behalf of expertvillage.com, today, we’re going to
talk about publishing your own children’s story. Please visit my web site at petalwinkthefairy.com.
I’m thinking about formatting your children’s storybook and the illustrations for the printer.
Whether you scan them into the computer yourself or the printer scans them in, you’ll note
that there is something missing from this picture. That is of course, the text, which
is where scanning your images in comes in really handy because you can add the text
with your computer. Now, we used a graphic designer. She helped not only choose a font
with us because she knew many more than we were familiar with, but she could also go
in and make a few little color corrections or change different things. For instance,
in the original of this picture, there was a white text box here but we thought like
it didn’t really support the drawing. She was able to take that right out with the magic
of computers. Once you’re happy with your illustrations and feel that they support the
vision of your story, you’ll want to scan the images or take pictures of them, some
how get them digitized, so that there in a digital file format, so that you can get them
to your printer.
