Deployment takes a toll on everyone involved, especially children.
With summer vacation here, some kids are finding it even harder without their parents.
Deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan have affected nearly 2 million military children
since the fighting began in 2001.
The Army has created organizations that provide kids with an outlet to deal with their fears and concerns.
Operation Purple Camp is really tied in with the chaplains
to get children out, particularly during the summer months, to do activities.
During the summer months is usually when soldiers and their families take vacation.
And of course, if the soldier is deployed,
that also impacts on the stress.
