At LCI, we love customer feedback and customer questions. This morning I got an e-mail from
Fe who writes,
“I would like to know if writing on Stardream Kunzite metallic paper turns out well using
ball point pens and/or gel ink pens?”
Well to answer your question Fe, yes, you can write on metallic paper with both pens.
Let me show you.
So here I have some Stardream metallic Kunzite card stock to show you that ball point pen
does indeed write on it. I have my typical office supply store pen here. It’s almost
like writing on regular paper. I don’t know if you can see but it’s not running or smudging
or anything.
And now I’ll show you a Gelly Roll pen. This is an ink roller ball pen. It actually
looks nicer just because it is a nicer pen. Writing with these is very effortless and
looks nice as well. Just be cautioned when you do write with these that the ink takes
a longer time to dry, especially on a metallic surface. So when you’re writing, be careful
not to drag your hand through it or to stack multiple written sheets on top of one another
because they probably take a good 10, 20 seconds to dry at the minimum.
Stardream metallic paper comes in many different colors so I’ll just show you another example.
This is Stardream Ruby and black doesn’t show up very well in this dark eggplant color
so I’ll show you with a White Gelly Roll pen here.
And I’ll trying showing you with the ball point pen as well although blank ink on Ruby
paper doesn’t show up very well.
I hope I’ve shown you that you can write on Stardream paper using either a ball point
or a roller ball pen such as our Gelly Roll pens. If you have any questions about this,
post a comment. Or if you have any general questions, shoot us an e-mail. We might use
your question to inspire our next video.
