Woah, it's windy. It's really, really, windy. Er the wind's just dropped enough for me to
say a quick few words, erm about where I am and what I'm doing.
Got dropped off at the Snake Pass, erm and then I'm walking along the Pennine Way over
to Edale, up to Kinder again, over to Kinder Downfall and I'm now at... I dunno, a crossroads,
it's not marked on the map, but there's a signpost, you can go all different places.
And I'm going to be going up here... and along there... and over there somewhere [pointing].
And it's really windy and it's quite slow progress, it's quite hard, leaning against
the wind, but I'm hoping it's gonna ease off, because it's so nice, it's really really sunny,
and there's blue skies everywhere. So I think it should be a good day, erm, or maybe it's
just because I'm out of the wind right now.
It's so windy I can barely stand up, I just keep staggering around all over the place.
And this keep whacking me in the face, it really hurts! And my map case keep fwapping
me in the face too!
I feel like I've been through a
washing machine or something. Ohh, at some points there I just couldn't even stand up.
I was being blown over, I couldn't stand upright, I was stumbling around. And I've got to Edale
rocks and erm I can see Jacob's ladder down below, which is where I'm going and I'm so
looking forward to geting down there cause it will get me out of the wind.
But having said that it is a spectacular day. Erm I can see streams of light through the
clouds, and I can see such a long way, and the sun's out and it's quite warm.
Thank goodness for this little hill! I'm just absolutely exhausted!
Erm, Let me show you Jacob's Ladder. There we are. So it's kind of... down... thereish,
yep, down there. [pointing] Out of the wind! and then I've got to go down to this crossroads
here... glimpsing over at the clouds... ooh yeah! I'm trying to get it in, obviously you
can't really, you know, you can't really get it on the camera...
And then... I'm definitely definitely going get a coffee, a massive, massive, coffee at
coopers cafe. And I'll be back another day. And then I'll get the train. Yaaay. So all
I've got to do is go down there. Brilliant.
This is the Lee Barn information shelter. Boards. Boards. That's nice. Barn owl. Oh, it's just nice
to be out of that wind to be honest. 'Ancient trackways'.
Blows the cobwebs away that's for sure [laughs]
