Amana Colonies [in Iowa], which is chalked full of Germans. It's on the national historic
landmark registry and everything. And I played down in Amana a good couple three
times a month. I used to work there full time at the nursing home down there for a while.
I didn't know any of these songs until I went down there and I was told under no
uncertain terms that I couldn't leave unless I played at least one of these kinds of songs.
This isn't German music, [you'll] probably figure out what it is. And the 2nd song I'll
play involves something that...they love to drink in October.
